Dispatcher – High Alpine Transport

Job Description: Dispatcher

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our transportation team. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation services, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services. You will also communicate with drivers and customers to ensure accurate and up-to-date information, monitor traffic and weather conditions to anticipate and avoid potential delays or issues, respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to transportation services, and maintain accurate records of transportation services, including schedules, routes, and driver information.

Other responsibilities of the role include providing support and assistance to drivers as needed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and continuously evaluating and improving transportation services to meet customer needs and expectations.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
Proficient in using computer software, including transportation management systems and Microsoft Office
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
